Hungary to promote water policy at UN Rio+20 summit

As member of the UN's Water Friends Group, Hungary considers water policy, the focus of next month's Rio+20 conference, as highly important, the foreign minister said on Tuesday. The conference in Rio de Janeiro on June 20-22 marks the 20th anniversary of the UN Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) and will be among this year's major international events, Janos Martonyi wrote in a reply to a query by lawmaker of the opposition Socialists, Imre Szabo.
