Hungary posted a cash-flow based budget surplus of 289.3 billion forints (EUR 1bn) in April, reducing the four-month deficit to 228.2 billion forints or 39.6 percent of the full-year target, the National Economy Ministry said on Monday. The figures exclude local councils. The deficit reached almost 90 percent of the annual deficit target of 576.2 billion forints in the first three months.
