Hungary's Fidesz supports suspending public funds for political parties

Political parties should be expected to contribute their fair share in helping to ease budgetary burdens, a ruling Fidesz official said on Friday. Gabriella Selmeczi, the party's spokeswoman, commented on Prime Minister Viktor Orban's suggestion that such party financing using public funds should be suspended in 2013-14.
