Hungarian opposition holds consultations with Venice Commission

The main opposition Socialists held consultations on Friday with Venice Commission rapporteurs visiting Hungary about concerns connected with the electoral law. The Socialists accused the government of gerrymandering and criticised the ruling alliance for failing to consult the opposition about the changes, said Gabor Harangozo. He criticised plans to scrap state political party financing in the next two years and to introduce voter registration.
