Gasparovic thanks nurses for not pursuing salary hike via strike

President Ivan Gasparovic on Friday thanked representatives of nurses for attempting to deal with their problems at the negotiation table instead of going on strike like doctors did at the end of last year. He said nurses work in conditions that are suitable neither for them nor for patients, and the health-care system itself needs a cure. He also expressed thanks to the nurses who haven't abandoned Slovakia.
