Former Polish president fears domino effect if Greece drops euro

May 14th, 2012

Former President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski is afraid that Greece's potential exit from the euro zone could trigger the domino effect, i.e. EU countries giving up the common currency. "I am afraid Greece could decide to leave the euro zone which seems increasingly realistic, taking into account political instability in the country," Kwasniewski, who was taking part in the European Economic Congress in Katowice (southern Poland), told reporters on Monday.
