Figel only Slovak politician to attend EPP's debate on new programme

Christian Democrats (KDH) chairman Jan Figel was the only Slovak politician attending a meeting of the European People's Party (EPP) in Brussels on Monday in which the party's new programme document for the next decade was discussed. Alongside KDH, ethnic-Hungarian SMK party and SDKU-DS are Slovakia's representatives in EPP, the European Parliament's (EP) largest party, of which European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso is also a member.
