EU should stick to budget responsibility, says Czech PM

The European Union should not abandon budget responsibility, it would be a mistake if it deepened budget gaps and debt in order to enhance economic growth, Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas said on Monday in reaction to the result of the presidential elections in France. Necas (Civic Democrats, ODS) congratulated the winner, Socialist Francois Hollande. Czech President Vaclav Klaus congratulated Hollande, too.
