The development of links between the European Union and its strategic partners is important for Hungary because a significant part of its foreign economic policy is within the framework of the EU, Foreign Minister Janos Martonyi said on Thursday. Martonyi attended a meeting of EU ministers in charge of foreign trade where the ministers approved the signing of a free-trade agreement with Columbia and Peru. Additionally, they authorised the European Commission to start talks with Vietnam about such an agreement.
