Deputy PM's party proposes postponing presidential election by two years

Porozumienie (Agreement), a party led by Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Gowin which forms part of the ruling United Right camp, said on Friday it would file a draft law to amend the constitution to delay presidential elections by two years. Gowin said the elections could not go ahead on May 10 as planned and that a two-year delay was a safe measure, although only possible by amending the constitution to extend the incumbent Andrzej Duda's presidency.
