The Czech Republic is ready to adequately contribute to the financing of the Afghan military, Czech President Vaclav Klaus said at the NATO summit in Chicago on Monday. The United States asked its allies to help fund the Afghan military and police. The financial support is estimated at four billion dollars a year. Klaus said any further aid would be lower than the costs of the current Czech military mission in Afghanistan.
