Czechs consider Roma most problematic neighbours, says poll

May 21st, 2012

Most Czechs consider Roma to be the most problematic neighbours, according to a poll focusing on relations to foreigners and ethnic minorities released on Monday. Only 12 percent of Czechs would accept Roma as neighbours, down from 14 percent in 2011. Further, 38 percent said they considered Roma neighbours unacceptable. The poll also showed that the relation of Czech society to Asian minorities, especially the Vietnamese and Chinese, has improved over the past six years.
