Czech Republic state of emergency extended until Feb 14

January 22nd, 2021

The Czech government extended the state of emergency until February 14 on Friday, as enabled by the Chamber of Deputies on a Communist proposal on Thursday, Interior Minister Jan Hamacek has told journalists. In all, the state of emergency, allowing the implementation of coronavirus lockdown measures, will last at least 132 days, twice as long as during the Covid wave last spring.
