Czech Republic registers 239 new Covid cases on Monday

The Czech Republic registered another 239 coronavirus cases on Monday, fewer than on weekdays last week, while the reproduction number fell to 1.37 after five days when it was rising, the health ministry has said. A week ago, the number of new infections was about one-half of this Monday's, but then there was a state holiday with less testing. There were almost 14 infected per 100,000 population in the past week, the highest number since mid-June.
