November 16th, 2020
The Czech Republic confirmed 1,887 Covid-19 cases on Sunday, which has been the lowest daily rise since October 5, according to the latest data released by the Health Ministry. On Sunday, 65 coronavirus patients died, which is the lowest daily number for a month, but this number has yet to be updated and is likely to increase. The total death toll is 6,208. On Saturdays and Sundays, fewer coronavirus tests are carried out in Czechia than on weekdays. The number of newly confirmed infections decreased in the past week, but the number of people who were tested went down as well and one quarter of those tested had come back positive. Since the epidemic outbreak in March, more than 460,000 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the country. The number of active infections stands around 126,600.
