Czech pensioners protest against limited rise in pensions

Hundreds of Czech elderly and disabled people protested against the limited increase in pensions, approved by the right-wing government, outside the Government Office compound on Wednesday. "We must defend ourselves. The dignity of humans is threatened. Discrimination against old age is common here," organiser Zdenek Pernes said at the event, which has been the first pensioner demonstration in the Czech Republic.
