Czech parlt may debate compensation bill, postal voting next week

The Czech Chamber of Deputies may debate the Covid compensation bill and the introduction of postal voting at a special session next week, Petr Fiala, the head of the Civic Democrats (ODS) who initiated the bills along with other centre-right opposition parties, said on Thursday. The opposition has proposed debating postal balloting in reaction to President Milos Zeman having set the date of the October 8-9, 2021 general election last December, much earlier than unusual.
