Czech DefMin presents army plans to ISAF commander

Czech Defence Minister Alexandr Vondra presented the planned Czech military participation in Afghanistan in the next two years to John Allen, the top commander of the ISAF mission, the ministry said in a release on Wednesday. Under the government plan, up to 539 Czech soldiers are to be deployed in Afghanistan in 2013. In 2014 the figure is to be lowered to a maximum of 340. The government will submit its proposal for the 2013-2014 military involvement in Afghanistan to parliament by the end of July.
