Czech commuters to prove work importance in Saxony from Friday

Czech cross-border workers who commute to Saxony will have to show a certificate proving the importance of their occupation as of Friday, the Saxony Social Affairs Ministry said. Germany lists the Czech Republic among the regions with high incidence of more contagious coronavirus variants. In reaction to this, it reactivated controls at its border with the Czech Republic and only those working is specific professions are allowed to enter Germany.
