Babis asks parlt to extend state of emergency until Feb 21

The state of emergency to curb the spread of coronavirus must be extended in the Czech Republic for the anti-epidemic measures to remain valid, Prime Minister Andrej Babis said in the Chamber of Deputies when asking MPs for its prolongation on Thursday, this time until February 21. "The government asks for the extension of the state of emergency primarily to make fundamental progress in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic," Babis said.
