Visegrad Insight & V4Revue

The 3rd edition of the New Europe 100 list was announced in Brussels on November 15th, 201
How societies in V4 countries perceive each other and the format of the Group?
V4 in the race
While Arabs or Muslims might be the focus of the current wave of Czech xenophobic discourse, the anti-Gypsyism from days past has not completely disappeared, as recent media debates illustrate. A Czech university professor with roots in The Caucasus shares an early memory about his first time visiting Prague and meeting the Roma and Czechs.
I’m half Czech, half Slovak, I consider both languages to be my mother tongues. Over the last 10 years I have lived half the time in Bratislava, and half the time in Prague, feeling home in both societies. But recently I have felt that Slovakia has been attracting me with bigger force. Paradoxically, I have realized this thanks to my different attitudes to what repels me in each country.
Czech President Miloš Zeman's initiatives towards China have greatly politicized the country's foreign policy and become an integral part of an increasingly acrimonious domestic political competition.
