ZSSK trains were delayed on average by 1.73 minutes in 2017

Trains operated by the state-run passenger railway operator ZSSK were delayed last year on average by 1.73 minutes, taking into account the number of all trains despatched, with the average wait time for a train at the destination station being 17 minutes, TASR learnt from the latest data released by ZSSK. According to ZSSK spokesman Tomas Kovac, delays often have clear causes, for example traffic closures and targeted delays, i.e. trains waiting for other delayed trains.
