Zeman rouses diplomatic row with Turkey, calling it IS ally

It takes some skill to provoke an international diplomatic row from a country village in West Bohemia but President Milos Zeman did, calling Turkey a factual ally of the Islamic State (IS) during a discussion with the locals, Tomas Lindner writes in Respekt weekly out on Monday. The Turkish Foreign Ministry protested, saying Zeman's words were "lies and insults," but he refused to take them back.
