Slovakia's competitive economy ranking moved down by four places from last year in the latest World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY) research and now stands in 55th place out of the 63 evaluated countries, Martin Reguli from F.A. Hayek Foundation has stated. Slovakia was outdone by all its Visegrad Four partners (the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland) in the WCY. The most successful country in the group was the Czech Republic at 29th place. The top three in the 2018 list, according to WCY, are the USA followed by Hong Kong and Singapore.
