Warsaw's Chopin airport services over 1.9 m passengers in July

August 10th, 2018

The more than 1.9 million passengers serviced by the Polish capital's airport represents growth of 12.6 percent over last July's 1.7 million and is the best July in the facility's history, the airport announced on Friday. "A steady increase in the number of passengers at Warsaw airport using international traffic (mainly transit) has a significant effect on the result," a statement by the airport reads. The airport also announced that in the first seven months of the year there were almost 9 million international travellers, which is 20 percent higher than last year's figure. Almost a million passengers used Warsaw airport for national travel from January to July 2018.
