Volkswagen Slovakia (VW SK) is increasing the proportion of purely electric cars in its output, Oliver Grunberg, chairman of the board of directors at VW SK, told a news conference on Tuesday. The company launched serial production of the Volkswagen e-up in August, and two more models, the Skoda Citigoe iV and the Seat Mii electric, saw electric versions later in the year. The carmaker has set a goal of significantly reducing CO2 emissions both in its vehicles and in production itself, said Grunberg. The concern pledged to observe the Paris Climate Agreement some time ago and is seeking to be CO2-neutral by 2050 in line with the goTOzero strategy.
