Farmer organisations from the Visegrad Group comprising the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia in a joint stance defend the image of Polish food, Poland's Agriculture Minister Jan Ardanowski said on Thursday. Speaking to Polish public radio about the recent illegal cow slaughter scandal, the minister stressed that "they were not sick cows, it was healthy meat from healthy animals which had an injury," adding that "a wave of hate speech, hostility towards Polish food is raging."
