Strengthening cooperation between the Visegrad Group countries and Japan could improve the stability and importance of the four-nation group, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mihaly Varga said on Thursday. Addressing a meeting of V4 prime ministers and their Japanese counterpart in Bratislava, Varga said that stronger V4-Japan cooperation would intensify links between these two developed and fast-growing regions in the world. This could also enhance the role of central and eastern European countries in the European Union, he added.
