Value of Polish banknote supply doubles in ten years - central bank

The National Bank of Poland (NBP) has said that the value of Polish banknotes in circulation increased to 222.9 billion zlotys (EUR 51.3bn) in the second quarter of 2019 from 98.6 billion zlotys in the same period of 2009. Over the same period, the value of coins rose to 4.9 billion zlotys from 2.7 billion, while the combined value of both banknotes and coins increased to 227.8 billion zlotys from 101.3 billion.
