The value of mortgage loans granted to Polish households increased by 21.0 percent quarter on quarter to nearly 16.44 billion zlotys (EUR 3.8bn) in the second quarter of 2019, the Polish Bank Association (ZBP) said, presenting an AMRON-SARFiN report on Monday. This is the best result since 2008, according to the report. Over 59,300 new mortgages were granted in the second quarter of the year, 17.2 percent more than in the first quarter of 2019, ZBP said. The average value of mortgage granted in Q2 rose by 3.2 percent to 276,000 zlotys, according to the report.
