US embassy congratulates Slovakia on purchasing F-16 fighter jets

The US Embassy on Thursday congratulated Slovakia on its decision to purchase 14 F-16 fighter jets. "The F-16 will provide exceptional capabilities to the Slovak Armed Forces, and will allow for expanded cooperation and partnership between the United States and Slovakia for years to come. Purchasing the F-16 through our Foreign Military Sales program allows Slovakia to take advantage of competitive pricing and ensure the purchase is effective and transparent," the embassy said in a statement.
