UN resolution condemning Israel one-sided, says Czech ForMin

June 14th, 2018

Czech diplomacy perceives the text of the unbinding resolution condemning Israel for killing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which the UN General Assembly approved on Wednesday, one-sided and unbalanced, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Irena Valentova told CTK on Thursday. "We consider the text of the resolution one-sided and unbalanced. We suppose that it does not help de-escalate the tension in the region and that it completely ignores the destructive role of Hamas," Valentova said. The UN General Assembly passed the unbinding resolution that condemned Israel for killing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and demanded international protection for Palestinians in the night CEST. EU member states were not united in the vote on the resolution, Valentova said.
