Ukraine's elections must be free a fair, say Polish, Ukrainian lawmakers

The Polish and Ukrainian lawmakers expect Ukraine's October parliamentary election to be consistent with international norms and for all opposition leaders to be able to take part in it, a declaration of the 6th session of the Polish and Ukrainian Parliamentary Assembly in Warsaw stated on Tuesday. "The success of Ukraine's European integration depends on fully implementing [the official European] resolution on the functioning of democratic institutions and respecting human rights in Ukraine, in particular respecting political opposition rights," the declaration said.
