Uhliarik comes up with memorandum to reach agreement with Slovak doctors

The Health Ministry is aiming to come to an agreement with hospital-based doctors and has therefore drawn up a memorandum proposal that should guarantee that doctors' demands are fulfilled and a strike thereby averted, head of the ministry Ivan Uhliarik said on Thursday. "In order to settle the situation I've worked up a memorandum that will also address the issue of doctors' salaries," said the minister. According to Uhliarik, doctors can receive a pay rise of EUR 300 a month as of 2012.
