Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz expressed his conviction that treaties do not authorise EU institutions to evaluate ideological issues, and underlined that such criteria could not be taken into account while assessing member states. Czaputowicz made the statement on Tuesday when asked about his opinion regarding the proposal of one of the EP committees, according to which EU funds should be cut for those regions in Poland that declare themselves as LGBT free zones, and about his view concerning another proposal linking EU funds with the rule of law.
