Treasury motions for PGNiG to withdraw from dividend payment

July 20th, 2018

Poland's State Treasury has motioned for the PGNiG gas company to not pay a dividend from 2017 profits, the company wrote in a Friday press release. The Treasury, PGNiG's controlling shareholder, called for allocation of the company's full 2017 profit to reserve capital meant for the development and modernisation of the domestic gas distribution network and to retained earnings.
