TOP 09 wants to lower Presidential Office budget

The opposition TOP 09 will propose to lower next year's budget of the Presidential Office by 17 million crowns for the foreign trips of the head of state, saying that President Milos Zeman either "does not travel anywhere or his trips are awkward". TOP 09 leader Marketa Pekarova Adamova on Tuesday told journalists that the money allocated to the Presidential Office should be used for performing arts. Adamova said the cutting of the budget in the Chamber of Deputies was a way in which the opposition parties could influence the operations of the Presidential Office.
