Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto on Monday put questions to the European Commission and the United Nations concerning "unidentified debit cards issued to a number of migrants". On the sidelines of a meeting of his EU counterparts in Brussels, Szijjarto told a news conference that the questions, addressed to UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi and EU Commissioner for Migration Dimitris Avramopoulos, were aimed at revealing how many such programmes have been launched, how many cards have been distributed and how much funds have been used for the programmes. Szijjarto said he also wanted to know if the scheme was implemented directly or through civil organisations.
