Suspected drug cartel leader extradicted to Poland

A 76-year-old man suspected of leading a drug gang was brought to Poland from Montenegro, Poland's Police Central Investigative Bureau (CB¦P) said on Thursday. Wojciech K. (surname withheld under Polish law) has been sought for over a year, under a European Arrest Warrant, for running an organised criminal group that allegedly trafficked drugs worth PLN 320 million (EUR 75 mln)to Europe, according to CB¦P In March 2018 he was detained in Budva, Montenegro, and since then the extradition procedure has been in progress, Iwona Jurkiewicz from CB¦P told PAP.
