Public support for Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's government increased by 4 percentage points month on month in January to 38 percent, the CBOS pollster reported on Friday. The percentage of negative opinions about the government amounted to 27 percent and remained unchanged in comparison with the previous month. According to CBOS, the assessment of the government's economic policy has worsened in comparison with the previous month. Fully 46 percent of Poles believe that the government's policy is creating opportunities for an improvement in the economic situation (down by 2 percentage points) whereas 41 percent of respondents are of the opposite opinion (up by 3 percentage points). Altogether 14 percent of respondents had no clear opinion on the matter, the report said.
