Smer-SD MPs submit minimum wage amendment

August 27th, 2019

The minimum wage for 2021 in Slovakia should primarily be based on agreement between representatives of employees and employers, and set based on a new formula if they fail to agree by July 15, according to a draft amendment to the law on the minimum wage submitted to parliament by governing Smer-SD MPs Robert Fico and Erik Tomas. Parliament may discuss the bill as early as at its September session.
