According to the opposition Smer-SD party, the Slovak government's first six months in office can be characterised by "incompetence, amateurism, lack of expertise and disgrace". "The Government of [Prime Minister] Igor Matovic promised expertise, decency and transparency, in particular," Smer spokesman Jan Mazgut said. "Instead, it's been appointing its (unsuccessful) partisan colleagues to important state posts, in which most of them won't stay for too long." Mazgut also addressed the press conference that Parliamentary Chair Boris Kollar held on Monday. "Head of Smer-SD Robert Fico was the only MP in parliament who stood against the candidacy of Boris Kollar for the post of parliamentary chair. He openly recalled all of Kollar's failures that disqualify him from being a public authority," Mazgut said.
