Slovakia to host 26 intl military exercises in first half of 2020

A total of 26 military exercises with the participation of foreign armed forces will take place in Slovakia in the first half of 2020, while Slovak soldiers will be sent to 29 exercises abroad, with the government on Wednesday approving a motion dealing with domestic and foreign military exercises. Slovakia will host, for example, the Defender exercise, which will include troops from the United States, the UK and Canada, and the Special Operations Forces (SOF) paratrooper exercise, in which forces from the US, the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Hungary and Lithuania will take part. Conversely, Slovak soldiers will train in Poland, the US, Denmark and Germany.
