Slovakia snowstorms leave 7,000 homes without power

Electricity services continue to be impacted by adverse weather in western Slovakia, with states of emergency declared in Bratislava, Nitra, Trencin, Partizanske (Trencin region), Levice and Nove Zamky (Nitra region) and some 7,000 customers left without power, TASR was told by Zapadoslovenska Energetika (ZSE) energy utility spokesperson Michaela Dobosova on Thursday. The worst-affected areas are in Nove Zamky, Nitra and Levice. All emergency teams of Zapadoslovenska Distribucna (ZSD) have been dispatched.
