Slovakia's public employees to receive 4.8 pc pay hike in 2018

The Slovak government, trade unions and employers signed collective agreements for 2018 on Thursday. Based on the agreements, the salaries of state and public administration employees will go up by 4.8 percent on January 1, 2018. The increase in salaries does not concern pedagogical and professional employees and teachers at universities, as their salaries have been increased by 6 percent on September 1, 2017.
