Slovak YouTuber calling for beating of MPs released from custody

January 22nd, 2020

Unsuccessful presidential candidate and YouTube personality identified only as Martin D. and activist Rudolf V. were released from custody on probation by the Bratislava Regional Court on Wednesday. The two defendants face charges of misconduct over their online videos, with Martin D. also prosecuted for inciting violence and tax fraud. The court replaced their custody with supervision by a probation officer and also banned both from producing and publishing any audio-visual materials, court spokesman Pavol Adamciak told TASR. In the past, the self-proclaimed journalists and activists talked in their videos and on a radio talk show about beating several MPs and politicians to death with steel bars over suspicions of corruption.
