President Zuzana Caputova has declined to sign a bill extending a moratorium on publishing the results of polls before elections from 14 to 50 days, Caputova's communication office director Martina Goffova announced on Thursday. Parliament recently overturned Caputova's veto of the law, which the latter considers possibly unconstitutional with respect to the right of collecting and spreading information. Caputova has vowed to approach the Constitutional Court to examine the law and perhaps even suspend it in view of the general election set for February 29, 2020.
