Slovak PM Fico asks Oettinger for more funds for nuke blocks' decommissioning

Prime Minister Robert Fico has directed a public request towards European Commissioner for Energy Gunter Oettinger asking for a re-evaluation of the EU's share of the funding needed to decommission two blocks of V1 nuclear plant in Jaslovske Bohunice, TASR learnt on Tuesday. "The 2014-2020 financial perspective envisages a specific sum to help Slovakia decommission these two blocks. This sum, however, is far from sufficient to meet the demands of this highly complicated process," said Fico.
