Slovak parlt votes to scrap special levy on retail chains

A special levy on retail chains is set to be scrapped after parliament passed a proposal sponsored by the Slovak National Party (SNS) in fast-track legislative proceedings on Thursday with votes from all 141 MPs present. The proposal to scrap the law on a special levy for retail chains was submitted in reaction to a preliminary ruling to postpone the effect of the law issued by the European Commission.
