Since the 2016 general election Slovakia's lawmakers have okayed 358 laws, out of which 76 were approved this year, according to figures published on parliament's website. Sessions which saw the highest number of okayed legislated items, namely 32, were held in November/December 2018 and in June 2019. Parliament has approved 268 proposals by the government, 89 from MPs and a single one from a parliamentary committee while 22 laws were adopted in fast-track proceedings. Ex-president Andrej Kiska vetoed 29 laws since the last general election, out of which 28 had their veto broken by the House.
